Beginner’s course in Chinese
You will learn to speak Mandarin, the official Chinese language, with a focus on practical use in everyday life. We primarily practice conversation and social skills in the lessons, where you will learn to introduce yourself, count, ask about your age, talk about your daily life and make small talk. You will also gain insight into Chinese culture, including names, holidays and forms of politeness.
Business Chinese Brush-up Course
The purpose of this Chinese course is to improve speaking skills and linguistic correctness.
The course is aimed at those who have already built up some knowledge of Chinese, but who want to have a stronger linguistic presence in negotiations, representations, conferences and trade fairs. On the course you will learn how to conduct an extended conversation and correct mistakes that may cause misunderstandings. In addition, we will practice “ice-breaker” expressions to initiate conversations. You will also acquire greater background knowledge about cultural conditions, manners and politeness, tact and tone in China. On this Chinese course you will also receive easy-to-use and concrete tips and tricks on how to behave among Chinese people, for example you will learn how to exchange business cards with a Chinese person and why the Chinese often say “yes” when they mean “no”.
